I Want to Write a Book, How should I start?

Hello Friends,

Many of us ask, ‘I want to write a book, what should I do first or where should I start?‘ but often don’t find an answer. That’s because there is no single answer. You will understand what I mean over time. To briefly introduce this topic, I want to say: First, you need a rich vocabulary and a good understanding of the meanings of words. Suppose you started writing a book and beforehand, you read all the articles titled ‘how to write a book.’ Or you attended writing workshops. Do you think these are enough? Of course not, technically; being proficient in many aspects of literary writing does not prove or show that you are a very good writer.

I’m talking about emotions; emotions that will make you live summer in winter, and winter in summer.

Why shouldn’t you write?

You don’t write just to be popular. You don’t write just to show off or to make an impression. You don’t write to waste words. You don’t write just to oppose everything aimlessly for attention. And there are many more reasons.

Of course, if you have goals like the ones I listed above, I have nothing to say. But remember, those who have concerns or are concerned in this life called time have penned the most beautiful writings. Some friends might ask if writings written while happy are bad. Writings written while happy are also beautiful, naive, and not deceitful. Don’t see me as a master of writing; remember, you will always hear the best critiques of your writings, positive or negative, from your readers.

Now I will give you five words. These are: car, chair, swallow, reckless, sky.

I want you to write a short story using each of these five words in a different sentence. (Optional)

Example Short Story: As the wind blew, her hair appearing before her eyes challenged the sky. I never wanted the car to pass because it splashed the water collected in the pothole. I was sad, but soon a reckless meaning filled my heart. Could I talk before the swallows migrated to faraway places? Anyway, I asked Kahveci Halil for a chair and sat down in front of the coffee shop, saying ‘bye bye’ inwardly.

In this article, I don’t feel the need to elaborate too much on writing a book. I always say that to write better, you need to write frequently and read what you write over and over again.

Thank you for reading this far, I hope you write a book someday, and we get to read it.

With love, longing, and affection..
